Bullets & Bandages I

SIG Sauer Academy's Bullets & Bandages class combines the two worlds of shooting and emergency medical care in a single class. This class has the same logo and format as Dark Angel Medical Tactical Medicine. But it's different because it includes a live-fire component to the training. Bullets & Bandages is a 3-day course that teaches participants how to give first aid under fire in a realistic-world setting.

The student will learn about the different types of gunshot wounds by reading "Bullets & Bandages". He will be shown photos of exit and entry wounds. He will also learn about blast injuries, stab wounds, fractures, and other torso problems. He will also cover the effects the bullet has on the lungs.

Tactical Handgun II: The Fundamentals

First, learn how to shoot a handgun. Fundamentals of Tactical Handgun 1, the first course, covers concealment and shooting using simulated ammunition. This course provides power point instruction, target practice, as well as video clips to strengthen basic shooting skills. The Fundamentals course is over. You can now enroll in Tactical Mindset.


Tactical Pistol Fundamentals teaches fundamentals of firearm safety. It focuses primarily on self-defense skills, as well practical application of firearms. Advanced Tactics course

Anthony M. Barrera M.D. and John S. Farnam taught the Advanced handgun defensive training course. It is a comprehensive overview on several less-lethal weapons. Instructors will be covering verbal defense commands and physical defense techniques. Students will learn to use multiple defense instruments, including the gun. Every skill that students learn will be put into practice in a variety of situations.

HITS #1 focuses on stress-movement handgun drills. Students will be tested on how well they can maintain the gun and perform quick repairs. They will also learn how safely to draw concealed guns using their hands. Participants should be in good physical condition, have their duty belt and holster in order to participate in the course. Students may bring a handgun and/or AR rifle to the class.
